Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under 10 are counted at their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only portray the two hands to be played).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as five produces a score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. practices:
- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, the two bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie customarily pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are somewhat better – nine to one versus eight to 1)
When played effectively, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of previous outcomes on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most common and possibly most successful strategy is the 1-three-2-six scheme. This technique is used to accentuate payout and reducing risk.
commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
