Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under 10 are of their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just appear as the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 and five will have a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, each bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie normally pays eight to one and on occasion nine to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are remarkably better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

When done effectively, baccarat provides fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually a predictor of future happenings. Tracking of prior results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 concept. This schema is used to pump up profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
