Punto Banco Regulations and Strategy
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Codes
Baccarat is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the total of the cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (five plus six equals eleven; drop the 1st ‘1′).
A third card can be dealt depending on the rules below:
- If the gambler or bank has a value of eight or 9, the two players hold.
- If the gambler has less than 5, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.
- If the gambler stands, the house takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to determine if the banker holds or hits.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The bigger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (equal cash less a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you leave the game so ensure you still have money remaining before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pay eight to one but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen less than one in every ten hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)
Played correctly baccarat gives pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Punto Banco Method
As with all games punto banco has quite a few accepted misconceptions. One of which is close to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Recording previous results on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most familiar and almost certainly the most favorable plan is the one-three-two-six tactic. This plan is employed to pump up winnings and limit losses.
Start by placing one dollar. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the game table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will retain six on the table, take away four so you have two on the third bet. If you come away with a win on the 3rd bet, add two on the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th round.
Should you do not win on the initial wager, you take a hit of one. A profit on the 1st round followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of 2. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the third gives you with a take of two. And success on the 1st three with a defeat on the 4th means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd bet 5 instances for every favorable run of 4 rounds and in the end, break even.
