Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only depict the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven and five has a total score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the following practices:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of eight or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays out at 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad wager as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. be cautious of putting money on a tie. Even so odds are appreciably better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

When done effectively, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Staying abreast of old outcomes on a chart is simply a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-6 concept. This scheme is used to increase wins and cutting back risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
