Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under ten are give a value of their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely represent the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven and five has a score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pay eight to one and on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Nonetheless odds are certainly better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of last results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and feasibly most successful method is the one-three-two-six concept. This process is employed to accentuate winnings and limiting risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
