Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are said to be at face value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely appear as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five gives a tally of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pay 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are considerably better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done correctly, baccarat presents generally good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not a predictor of future results. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-six concept. This schema is deployed to magnify wins and limiting risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
