Baccarat Rules and Plan
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Standards
Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, however the first number is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (five plus six equals 11; drop the 1st ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given out based on the rules below:
- If the gambler or bank has a score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.
- If the player has five or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player stays, the house takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to determine if the house holds or hits.
Punto Banco Odds
The higher of the 2 totals wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19:20 (even payout minus a five percent rake. Commission are kept track of and paid off when you leave the table so make sure you have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten rounds. Avoid putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)
Bet on correctly punto banco gives generally decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of accepted misconceptions. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Tracking previous results on a chart is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.
The most familiar and possibly the most favorable plan is the one-three-two-six technique. This plan is employed to maximize winnings and limit risk.
Start by wagering 1 chip. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a sum of three units on the second bet. Should you succeed you will hold 6 on the game table, pull off four so you have 2 on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the game table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.
Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the initial three with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd round five times for each favorable run of 4 rounds and still are even.
