Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are valued at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely depict the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 as well as 5 will have a tally of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be given out depending on the following standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie normally pay eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. However odds are greatly better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

When played correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of prior conclusions on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six method. This technique is employed to pump up earnings and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
