Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are valued at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they purely portray the 2 hands to be dealt).
2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 results in a total score of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. be cautious of betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are generously better – nine to one vs. eight to one)
When done correctly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future outcomes. Monitoring of previous results on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six method. This tactic is employed to accentuate winnings and reducing risk.
Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
