Punto Banco Rules and Plan
Punto Banco Policies
Baccarat is gambled on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are valued at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the sum of the two cards, however the first digit is discarded. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus six = eleven; ignore the first ‘one’).
A third card can be given out using the rules below:
- If the gambler or house has a total of eight or 9, both players hold.
- If the player has less than 5, she takes a card. Players holds otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the bank hits on a total lower than 5. If the player hits, a chart is employed to figure out if the bank stays or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (equal money minus a five percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you quit the game so make sure you have cash left before you quit). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays out at eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than one in every 10 hands. Avoid gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. eight to one)
Played properly baccarat banque provides relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Strategy
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some accepted misconceptions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.
The most common and probably the most accomplished plan is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This technique is employed to build up profits and minimizing risk.
Begin by placing one chip. If you win, add one more to the two on the game table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will now have 6 on the table, take away four so you are left with two on the third round. If you succeed on the third bet, add two to the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial wager followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of 2. Success on the first two with a hit on the third gives you with a take of 2. And success on the 1st three with a defeat on the 4th means you are even. Winning all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you are able to squander the second round five instances for every favorable run of four rounds and in the end, experience no loss.
