Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under 10 are valued at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely appear as the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 results in a tally of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are decidedly better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)

When done accurately, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Monitoring of prior conclusions on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-6 technique. This technique is employed to boost successes and controlling risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
