Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are counted at their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they strictly act as the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 has a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be given depending on the foll. codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at eight to 1 and on occasion nine to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties occur less than one every ten hands. abstain from wagering on a tie. However odds are significantly better – nine to one vs. eight to one)

Played correctly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Tracking of last results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-six scheme. This tactic is deployed to accentuate payouts and controlling risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
