Baccarat Rules and Strategy

Punto Banco Rules

Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at their printed value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, although the first number is discarded. For instance, a hand of five and six has a score of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; dump the 1st ‘one’).

A additional card may be given using the rules below:

- If the player or bank gets a value of 8 or 9, both players hold.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler stays, the house hits on a value lower than five. If the player takes a card, a chart is employed to determine if the bank holds or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19:20 (even money minus a 5 percent rake. Commission are recorded and cleared out once you quit the table so make sure you have funds around before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than one in every ten hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

Played correctly baccarat gives generally decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Scheme

As with all games punto banco has quite a few established false impressions. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of events yet to happen. Tracking past outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most established and definitely the most favorable method is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This tactic is deployed to pump up winnings and limit losses.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the table, remove four so you are left with 2 on the third bet. If you succeed on the third bet, put down 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

Should you lose on the first wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of two. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a take of 2. And success on the initial three with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Succeeding at all four rounds gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can not win on the 2nd wager 5 times for every favorable streak of 4 bets and still balance the books.
