Baccarat Rules and Strategy
Baccarat Banque Regulations
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are valued at face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, however the first digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus 6 equals 11; dump the initial ‘1′).
A third card might be dealt using the following rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, the two players stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player stays, the banker hits on 5 or less. If the player takes a card, a guide is employed to decide if the banker stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The larger of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even payout less a 5% commission. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you leave the table so be sure to have money around before you depart). Winning wagers on the player pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie typically pay 8:1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than one in every ten rounds. Avoid betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. 8:1)
Gambled on properly baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Banque Course of Action
As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few general misconceptions. One of which is close to a absurdity in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of future outcomes. Keeping score of past results at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and likely the most favorable course of action is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This plan is employed to maximize profits and limit losses.
Begin by betting one chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold six on the game table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you succeed on the third wager, put down 2 on the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.
Should you don’t win on the 1st round, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a hit on the third provides you with a profit of two. And success on the initial three with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all 4 rounds gives you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to not win on the second round 5 times for every favorable run of 4 rounds and still break even.
