Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are said to be worth their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely portray the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 results in a total score of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, each bettors stand.
- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. abstain from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played properly, baccarat offers relatively good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with many games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Keeping track of past outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and feasibly most successful method is the one-three-two-six scheme. This scheme is employed to increase payouts and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
