Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are give a value of face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they purely act as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 results in a score of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie by and large pay eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to one. (This is a terrible wager as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Regardless odds are greatly better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)

When played accurately, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not an actual indicator of future happenings. Tracking of historic results on a chart is a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 concept. This schema is employed to pump up successes and limiting risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
