Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are counted at face value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … five has a total score of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a bad wager as ties happen less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Regardless odds are supremely better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)

When played properly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Tracking of historic results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the one-three-two-six scheme. This method is employed to accentuate earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
